Boss guide
In the endless run, a boss appears every 500 metres: Giant Archer, Catapult, Rival Ninja, Great Hawk, then Twin Archers, and then the cycle starts again. Each boss takes three hits, and each one gives up and leaves if you survive about half a minute without beating it.
While a boss is on screen, the usual hazards stop coming, so the fight has your full attention. Beating a boss pays 50 coins, a big burst of points and a badge the first time. Surviving it, won or not, moves you into the next world and unlocks a checkpoint at that distance, so next time you can start there. Runs started from a checkpoint still earn coins and count for missions, but not for your best score.

Giant Archer

Catapult
At 1,000 m, in Red Desert.

Rival Ninja
At 1,500 m, in Snow Peaks.

Great Hawk
At 2,000 m, in Moonlit Ink.

Twin Archers
At 2,500 m, in Bamboo Valley.
What every boss has in common
- Three hits. A health bar at the top of the screen shows how many are left.
- A short breather after each hit. For about half a second a boss can't be hurt again, so three arrows arriving together only count once.
- Clear warnings. Red dots, a red ! or a red cross always show what's coming and where.
- A way out. Survive long enough and the boss leaves. You still move on to the next world, just without the badge.
Boss levels
In level mode, levels 7, 15, 22, 26 and 30 are boss fights. Beating the boss there is one of the level's three stars.
