Bamboo Valley
Misty mountains, bamboo, pagodas and a big red sun. Every run starts here, and it's where the game teaches you its whole language.

What you meet here
The first stretch introduces one danger at a time, with a short hint the first time you see each: thorns first, then archers, then falling rocks, pits, spear throwers and swinging logs. By a few hundred metres, boulders, arrow volleys, hawks and crows have joined in, and they start to arrive in combinations.
The music is a gentle plucked melody, and the pace starts slow. The ninja speeds up steadily as the metres go by.
Tips for Bamboo Valley
- Learn the archer early. Archers are the most common enemy in the whole game. Sending an arrow back takes the archer out for good, which is worth the extra care.
- Bridges are cheap. A short flat line over thorns costs one drop and is almost impossible to get wrong.
- Rocks want a slant. A flat roof stops a rock but leaves it bouncing around nearby. A slanted one sends it away.
- Watch the combo. Every save builds your multiplier, and it only resets when its timer runs out. Keeping a steady rhythm of saves early pays off later.
The boss
At 500 metres, the Giant Archer ends your first lap of the valley. Survive him and the world turns to desert. On the second lap, at 2,500 metres, the valley returns with the Twin Archers.
