Moonlit Ink
Night: a pale moon, glowing stone lanterns and fireflies, with a slow plucked melody. You arrive after the Rival Ninja, at around 1,500 metres.

The new enemy: shadow ninjas
A dark ninja steps out of a puff of smoke on the path ahead. He winds up, and three dotted red lines fan out from his hand: he's about to throw three shuriken at once, slightly spread. Then he vanishes again.
How to stop the shuriken
One tall upright wall catches all three, as long as it's tall enough to cover the whole fan. Draw it well out in front of the ninja, about two thirds of the way toward the shadow ninja. Too close to your ninja and he runs past the wall before the shuriken arrive.
Tilt the wall toward the shadow ninja and the shuriken fly back at him. One returned shuriken is enough to take him down.
Tips for Moonlit Ink
- The night colours make everything darker. Keep your eyes on the red warnings rather than the scenery.
- Shadow ninjas often come with archers. A wall that blocks shuriken can also block a low arrow.
- This is where the Close call trick happens most: shuriken skimming over his head.
The boss
